First-Ever Tech-Enhanced Portal Combine Delivers Immediate Recruiting Impact for Transfer Athletes
HERRIMAN, Utah — [January 10, 2026] The inaugural Portal Combine, co-produced by FLX Sports and TrackIt Verified, concluded with immediate and measurable success, as multiple participating athletes received college offers — some on-site and others in the days following the event.
Held January 10, 2026, at the Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman, Utah, the event brought together transfer portal athletes from across the country for a fully verified, NFL-standard combine experience. The combine was led by several former NFL alumni with extensive combine, portal, and professional football experience.
The lineup included Harvey Langi, 7-year NFL vet with the Patriots; Porter Guston; Derek Wright; Chris Wilcox, and De’Ondre Wesley. Daniel Sorensen, made a surprise guest appearance during the classroom portion and conducted an in-depth Q&A for the athletes about his experience as a 10-year Kansas City Chiefs veteran and his journey to earn (2) Super Bowl rings.
The event was designed to provide overlooked and under-recruited athletes with verified data, professional-grade film, and direct exposure to college programs nationwide.

Bean emphasized the importance of verification in the recruiting process.
“It’s legit — verified. Everything is like a normal NFL combine,” he said. “These coaches can stand on a table and say, these times, these measurements… all of this is real. These are real former NFL guys doing this.”
