FLX Sports Names James Thomson Executive Director of Football

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — [February 3, 2025]  — FLX Sports, a leader in data-driven sports technology, has appointed James Thomson as Executive Director of Football. Thomson joins FLX Sports with more than two decades of high school and college coaching/recruiting experience, most recently serving as Director of Internal Scouting for the University of South Florida.

In his new role, Thomson will lead FLX Sports’ nationwide football initiatives, helping to scale the company’s flagship platform, the Athlete’s Arena — a unified ecosystem that connects athletes, coaches, universities and brands in one integrated, data-powered environment.

Thomson is an accomplished, veteran high school head football coach — leading seven prominent programs across Florida and Georgia throughout his career.  He serves as an advocate for high school coaches and directs many major coaching clinics throughout the country.
